So, you’re migrating to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2003 and you use disclaimers in your emails. Great. Almost all if not all corporations do this already.
The issue at hand is when the message from 2003 gets the disclaimer from an Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010 server and the disclaimer gets garbled when sent from OWA. We tested client’s disclaimer in Outlook, Smartphones and OWA with mailboxes on Exchange 2010 with no issues. While performing our Exchange 2003 tests and noticed that the disclaimer was getting garbled on outbound external messages sent via OWA.
The solution is a hotfix from Microsoft – http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935489.
Apply this hotfix on your Exchange 2003 servers, reboot the servers and then apply the regfixes after the reboot.
