As many readers may have noticed, my content publishing has slowed considerably this summer and I think I owe everyone an explanation. Currently I am taking on a lot of side projects which includes some book writing and some code writing. The largest hurdle I face at the moment is also the most exiting. I was asked to contribute to an existing and now expanding book called Microsoft 365 Security for IT Pros. This book was started a while back by fellow Microsoft MVP Michael van Horenbeeck and was published on July 13, 2020. He and I became MVPs during the same year, back in 2013. Fast forward to today and Michael has contributed to other book projects, but decided to lead an new and interesting one focused on security in the Microsoft 365 cloud.
The book is already available in a subscription model which means that as new content arrives, you get that new content for the fee you pay. The fee covers a year in updates for the book. Information on the book can be found here:

Now for my part, I have been tasked with Office 365 ATP/EOP. Right up my alley considering I am an Exchange (originally) / Office 365 (until last year) / PowerShell (current) MVP. So my experience should make this easy writing. Right? Yeah. As I know from my previous books, this isn’t entirely true. Due to the every evolving nature of Microsoft’s cloud solution and the security resources, this will be a challenge to write and keep up to date. This is one of the very reasons why I wanted to take on the task.
In addition to that project, I am also working on a Teams PowerShell book with a colleague of mine. This project is taking longer than I like for many reasons, but hope to get it completion soon.
Lastly, I am working on a large script right now that actually plays into my Microsoft 365 Security book project and has to deal specifically with Office ATP configuration. Hope to make that public once I get it to a good point (reliable, accurate and useful … practical even). So look for that soon.
There also might be another book project in the works … but more on that some other day!
In the meantime, my blog articles will be few as most of my time will be on these above projects. Hope everyone understands. Thank you!
