Microsoft just released their newest Updates for Exchange 2007, 2010 and 2013:
- Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 6
- Exchange Server 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 7
- Exchange 2007 SP3 Update Rollup 14
Perhaps the most anticipated is CU6 for Exchange Server 2013 due to the fact that it fixes an issue in the Hybrid Configuration Wizard (HCW). The HCW issue has been blogged about by many other MVPs here, here and here. CU6 officially fixes this issue and thus removes a show stopper for your Exchange to Office 365 migrations or hybrid deployments.
The second most anticipated feature change/update concerns public folders. Prior to Exchange Server 2013 CU6 Public Folders were limited to a total of 10,000 folders. Now, with CU6, we are able to increase that limit by 10 fold. While not an exciting feature, there are organizations that are still utilizing Public Folders and need a way to support a large amount of folders.

One of the updates of most interest to me would be this update. In my migrations from Exchange 2007 to 2013, ActiveSync issues tend to crop up and it did require an IIS restart in SP1 and before or an app pool restart in CU5. I’ve not tested the update in this scenario yet, but it would make migrations easier if ActiveSync devices work flawlessly.
