Exchange 2019 Preview Prerequisite Script

Over the past six or so years I’ve worked on providing a PowerShell script to make the installation process for Exchange 2013 and 2016 easier. The scripts will install the prerequisites, instead of having you look them up, round them up and then install them one at a time. With Exchange 2019 Preview being released in the past week or so, I thought it would be good to release a PowerShell script to handle it. While I’ve had one for my TAP installs, I needed to revamp it and my old script to make it fresh and new.
So today I am announcing that the script is ready for anyone to use.

Some features of the script:

• Install prerequisites for Windows 2019 Core – Mailbox or Edge Role
• Configure Event logs to 100MB and Overwrite as needed
• Preflight check – see if prerequisites for the correct role/OS version

The script current works with the current release of Exchange 2019 Preview. There are a couple of caveats:
UCMA on Windows 2019 Core: One caveat is that for the UCMA install on core, you need to have the ISO for Exchange 2019 Preview mounted so the script can reference the files for UCMA as these are not available as a separate download at the moment, at least, not for Windows 2019 Core.
Windows 2019 Only: At the moment, I believe the preview version can be installed on Windows 2016 and 2019. However, this script is for Windows 2019 only at the moment. One of the core reasons (no pun intended) is that the UCMA for Exchange 2019 on a Core OS is for Windows 2019 Core only as far as I can tell.
