As my job changes, so do my interests. My desire to learn and explore new technologies is ever present. In that thirst for knowledge I have decided to learn more about Azure and specifically Azure PowerShell. Now, I know that Azure is a very broad topic. My focus will be (initially) on the following topics:
- Azure AZ Module and anything to do with virtual machines
- Azure Security
- Azure networking – including load balancers, VPN, etc.
- Possible future topics like Sentinel, DSC and LightHouse
I am going to take this approach from the ground up so it might take some time to get to some really in-depth articles. First I will concentrate on my learning journey – what I read, what I experimented with and in general how I am learning Azure. At this point in time I do possess some base knowledge of Azure and its various services. However, I want to learn even more. The plan will be to build and work with as many features as I can within the service and deep dive any relevant PowerShell that goes with those features.
What will the reader get out of this?
[(PowerShell focused]
- To learn what can be done with PowerShell in Azure (exploring various modules)
- To hopefully learn new things about Azure including tips and trick
- Learn about Azure’s new features or under used features (PowerShell focused)
- Get a look at all the modules in Azure (50+?).
Publishing Schedule
The hope is to publish at least one article per week on Azure and PowerShell with new and useful content. Expect the articles to take time to get up to full speed as I personally have not used PowerShell in Azure in a while. If you have any suggestions for topics to cover, please leave a comment on the blog. Look forward to sharing any knowledge gained with you, the reader in the coming months.
